The Cube Series

The Cube works are an on going series of events that involve a steel pipe construct and bondage.

The steel construct, referred to as "the Cube", is made up of 12 steel pipes measuring 8' in length and 2" in diameter. They are joined together by 16 Burton, 90-degree clamps. Inherently the ends of the pipes define an outside perimeter, while the intersecting points circumscribe an inner cube. The structure then functions in two ways, one is as a transcriber of cubic space and boundaries, and the other as staging for works of bondage.

This work is closely associated with the Soul Box motif in which the Cube can be seen as a signifier of the soul box to the larger environment in which it is placed.
