In 1996 the artist began a series of performances, once a month for a year. Freakzoid Night Club provided the venue for these events. The series was an experiment on the boundaries of what could be done in such an environment and to what effect each would have on the other. The building was two stories with a finished basement and outdoor patio. Performances varied month to month and from location to location on the property.
Several performances worth noting:
- The cube was set up on the outdoor patio prior to the clubs openning. Later that evening a light rain began to fall. The artist was suspended over a series of candles which in turn were kept dry and lit by his body's shelter.
- The cube was arranged on the second floor of the night club. A wheel chair was set into the center of the cube. A volunteer from the night club patrons was bound into the chair. the chair was then rigged to be suspended upside down within the framework. It was hoisted up and the chair with the patron spun and swung upside down for 15 minutes.
- Prior to the clubs opening the cube was arranged to fit under the basement stairs. A difficult task for the 8' pipes, making them appear erratic, unstable and jammed in place. The artist was suspended in a hogtied position about 2.5' off the ground. One patron decided to lay on her back and slide directly underneath the artist. She lay there staring directly at him for 20 minutes.
