Synopsis:
Mark Snyder originally studied ceramics at the Rochester Institute of Technology’s Bauhaus influenced School of the American Craftsman before transferring to Alfred University in New York State. He recevied his Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from Alfred University majoring in Sculpture and Performance Art. There he was also received accolades for the originality and creativity of his work. He lived in upstate New York for 34 years and worked as a Goldsmith for 12 years before moving to Boston in 1997. Having a varied artistic background to draw from, the artist works in his studio with photography, computers, painting, printing and sculpture.
