Introduction was the first performance involving "the Cube".
Prior to the start time of 10:45AM the cube was assembled. A blackboard with "Hello My Name Is Mark Snyder" written on it hung behind the structure. A pot of coffee was brewed with cups available. A single leather chair was provided for viewers use and a note pad available for comments.
At 10:45 AM the artist was stripped of all clothing, blindfolded and gagged. He was led into the cube and bound there. His legs straddled the lower bars and tied in place. His arms were bound behind his back, then the rope was run up to a pulley on a higher bar, then run back down to a lower bar and tied off. This forced the artist to remain in an upright, straddling position. Every twenty minutes this rope was unleashed so that he might bend over to let blood redistribute. At the end of two hours the artist was released from the bindings.
The event was performed twice in the same day, each lasting 2 hours.
